Our Training Program
Our puppy program is similar to our other board and train programs, but specifically designed for puppies starting at ~14 weeks old. (That way they are fully vaccinated) It is a total of 4 weeks long.
What Will My Puppy Learn?
The first 3 weeks will focus on obedience and foundation.
This will also include
- Crate training
- Potty training
- House manners
- Socialization
- Confidence building
After the first session, your puppy will return home to you and come back to GPK9 for session 2 when he/she is ~8 months old. During this time, he/she will learn the off-leash portion, while the distractions intensify.
At the end of the 3 (and 6) weeks, we will hold a ~2 hour go home session. It will begin in a public location, then proceed to the client’s home. The purpose of this is to demonstrate what the dog has learned and teach the owner the use of the equipment and proper training practices.
We utilize the 4 quadrants of Operant Conditioning.
This service includes an E-collar (E-collar technologies), prong collar/slip lead, and place cot. In addition to this, each client will receive a discount on future boarding costs and lifetime support from the GPK9 family.
***Your puppy will not be introduced to the e-collar work until the second session.
