3 Week Board and Train Program (Most Popular!)

About This Program: Our 3-week Board and Train package is designed to target both on and off-leash obedience. With this program, your dog will develop the ability to follow commands and tasks both at home and in public settings. This is our more advanced program, offering comprehensive training for your beloved canine companion.

Commands: Our expert trainers will teach your dog commands such as Sit, Down, Heel, Place, and Recall. However, we understand that every dog is unique, and we adjust the training to meet the specific needs of each client’s furry friend. At the end of the 3 weeks, we will hold a comprehensive 3-hour go-home session. This session will start in a public location and then proceed to your home. The purpose of this session is to showcase what your dog has learned and provide you with hands-on guidance on the proper use of equipment and training practices.

To ensure long-term success, you will also receive two follow-up lessons. We utilize the 4 quadrants of Operant Conditioning, a widely recognized and effective training method. This service includes an E-collar from E-collar Technologies, a prong collar/slip lead, and a place cot.

These tools, when used correctly, assist in achieving the desired training outcomes. As an added bonus, each client will receive a discount on future boarding costs and lifelong support from the GPK9 family. 2 Week Board and Train Program

Similar to our other programs, we apply the 4 quadrants of Operant Conditioning, a proven training approach. Introducing the Georgia Pine K9 “Set the Standard” Program—an immersive 16-week board and train experience. Our program starts when puppies are 10 weeks old and continues until they are ready to transition to their forever homes around 6 months of age.

As part of our program, we take on the responsibility of sourcing and evaluating puppies from reputable breeders on your behalf. We understand the significance of finding the right puppy that aligns with your family’s needs and preferences. Our team meticulously selects puppies from trusted breeders who prioritize their dogs’ health, temperament, and overall well-being. Through our rigorous evaluation process, we ensure that the chosen puppies are ideal candidates for our “Set the Standard” Program, providing you with a puppy that has the potential for a successful training journey and a lifelong fulfilling companionship.

Our program allows you to experience the joys of having a young puppy while bypassing the usual challenges associated with training. – Introduction to bathing, brushing, nail trims, dental care, and fur trims

– Proper socialization

– Establishing a pack order mentality to help the puppy understand its place in its home and reduce dominant tendencies

How It Works

Upon completion of the 16-week training program, your puppy will be ready to join your family! Throughout this period, your puppy will reside with one or more experienced Georgia Pine K9 trainers, becoming an integral part of their pack. The training process includes housebreaking, crate training, socialization in various environments with different dogs and people, on and off leash obedience, advanced training, and more.

For families located in the Greater Savannah area, active participation in the training process during the 16-week program is encouraged. This hands-on involvement accelerates your learning process and helps foster a strong bond with your puppy. If you are located outside the Savannah area, you are still welcome to visit. Additionally, we can travel to your location and spend 3-4 days to ensure a smooth transfer of training (details below).

We understand that not everyone possesses the skills of a professional dog trainer, and what may come naturally to us may not be as intuitive for most. It is crucial to know how to continue training your puppy once they are home. By the time your puppy is ready to leave our program, they will have a solid foundation. However, consistent follow-through and practice are vital for long-term success. Therefore, we dedicate multiple days to handing off puppies at the conclusion of their training, typically involving 9 go-home lessons. These lessons take place in your home and various locations around town, such as restaurants, coffee shops, parks, athletic events, and more. Our aim is to ensure that all family members feel comfortable effectively communicating with your dog in any environment!

From Monday to Friday, we provide door-to-door service, picking up your dog from your home and dropping them off after their training sessions. This ensures that your dog receives consistent training throughout the week, even when you’re pressed for time.

Our training program is designed to address various behavioral issues and teach essential commands to your dog. We focus on positive reinforcement techniques that foster a strong bond between you and your furry companion. With our structured approach, we work on obedience training, leash manners, socialization, and other critical aspects to help your dog become a well-rounded and well-behaved member of your family.

About This Program: Our 4-week Board and Train package is designed to provide even more comprehensive training for your dog. With an extra week of training, your dog will have additional time to master commands and behaviors, ensuring a solid foundation in both on and off-leash obedience.

Our program emphasizes public access training, enabling you to confidently take your dog anywhere and everywhere. At the end of each week, your dog will come home to you for the weekend, and you will receive a one-hour lesson to track their progress.

Commands: Sit, down, heel, place, recall, and more. We tailor each client’s training based on their dog’s specific needs, ensuring effective and personalized training. At the end of the 4 weeks, we will hold a 3-hour go-home session. This session will begin in a public location and then proceed to the client’s home. The purpose of this session is to demonstrate the comprehensive skills and behaviors your dog has learned and to teach you the proper use of the equipment and training techniques.

Additionally, you will receive 5 total follow-up lessons to address any questions or concerns you may have. We utilize the 4 quadrants of Operant Conditioning to shape your dog’s behavior positively.

Georgia Pine K9 Dog Training is located at 818 Kolic Helmey Rd, Guyton, GA, 31312. From Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) take Airways Ave and I-95 N to Highlands Blvd. Then head east on Airways Ave, and keep left to stay on Airways Ave. Next, use the right lane to take the ramp onto I-95 N, and take exit 106 for Jimmy Deloach Pkwy. At this point keep left at the fork to continue toward Jimmy Deloach Pkwy, and turn left onto Jimmy Deloach Pkwy. Follow Highlands Blvd and Benton Blvd to GA-30 W in Port Wentworth. After that turn right onto Highlands Blvd, and turn right onto Benton Blvd. Then at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit and stay on Benton Blvd. Continue on GA-30 W. Drive to Kolic Helmey Rd in Effingham County. Finally, at the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto GA-30 W. Turn right onto Kolic Helmey Rd, and Georgia Pine K9 Dog Training will be on the left.
